The I Deserve to Be Happy Team would like to introduce what might be a foreign concept to some…making changes NOW. Not in an hour, not tomorrow, not next year—NOW.
Did you make a New Year’s resolution? Have you already broken it, or not even started yet?
This is not uncommon. We recently viewed a TV program that stated an alarming failure rate for resolutions. “Rules were made to be broken”, and so are resolutions it seems. If most of us know this, then do we wait for the New Year to make that resolution just so we can break it?
Really, what is the true objection for doing something that will make your life happier? Some very realistic reasons are fear of failure and humiliation, not feeling worthy enough and even the fear of success. Why would we fear success? Because it means change and people typically fear change. Think about this.
We can hear it already… “But I have to take care of the bills, the kids, my yard, work etc. etc. first!” What’s the worst thing that could happen? Will you harm someone by asking for a raise, buying something for yourself or improving your health? The answer is no. You can make all the excuses you like, but the answer is still no.
Let us tell you a little secret; nothing gets finished if it never gets started. What a concept! Since everything takes some measure of time to complete, the sooner you start the faster it will happen for you.
If you’ve studied the law of attraction, you’re already aware that nothing you want for is taken from someone else. It is not a trade system, there is more than enough available for everyone to have anything they truly want. If you have not yet explored the law of attraction, we highly recommend you do.
So whatever your goals may be, start acting NOW, even if that means drafting a plan of execution, which is action. If you meant to start working out, go do some crunches—NOW. If you meant to look into it, try it or buy it–just go do it, right NOW!
Then remember that amazingly satisfying feeling of accomplishment you have and recall it the next time you start to procrastinate.
